Code of Good Practices
in the sector
of changes and warehouse

-Introduction

The present "Code of Good Practices in the Sector of Changes and Warehouse" has been elaborated by the Area of Government of Economy and Citizen Participation of the Town Hall of Madrid, by virtue of the Agreement of Collaboration in date of 24th September of 2003, signed with the Castilian Organization of Companies of Changes and Warehouse (OCEM).

It brings the consensus of the main associations of consumers and were approved by the Council of Consumption of the Community of Madrid, in 15th of December of 2005.

This code puts together a series of legal requirements that are of application in the Sector of Changes and Warehouse, and express commitments of performance in matter of quality, resolution of claims, improvements in the benefit of the service, etc, that exceed the content of those, and that they have like purpose of contributing to satisfy the demands of the consumers, as well as to increase the quality level and security of the developed activity in these establishments.

With the edition of this Code the self-control in the Sector of Changes and Warehouse is promoted and correct practices are guaranteed, what results in a greater protection of the consumers' rights.

Finally, those profesionals who adher to the present Code and engage themselves to fulfill his content, will be able to obtain the badge "Good Practical" that the City council of Madrid grants. A symbol of guarantee for the consumers that locates the establishments that exhibit it in an excellent position with respect to other companies of the competition.
